About Me

Hi!
I’m Valter Decorte, a passionate game programmer who’s currently studying at The Game Assembly in Malmö, Sweden.
I began learning programming in upper secondary school, drawn to the logical thinking it required and the ability to turn ideas into reality. After experiencing the work of a software developer one summer, I realized I was seeking a more explorative and creative path. This led me to explore game development in my free time, where I gradually discovered it was my true passion.
I’ve discovered that I’m particularly drawn to gameplay development, whether it’s tweaking numbers to make everything feel good or adding new and exciting features. I also enjoy tools development and other technical aspects of game creation, as they can unlock new possibilities and improve workflows.
Outside of programming, I run and work out, partly to stay healthy and partly because some bugs only get solved halfway through a run.
